About Zoey

In October, a stray dog wandered into the ambulance bay at Zac’s work. Because he was at work, he had to call Animal Control to come pick her up, however it took Animal Control several hours to get to him. During that time, the dog followed Zac around and snuggled at his feet. When Animal Control finally came to pick her up, the officer informed Zac that because of the type of dog she is, she would most likely be euthanized if she wasn’t adopted. This crushed Zac. That day, he sent me a text message with a picture of this sad looking pup and a message that read, “wanna adopt her?”

That night we discussed adopting her. The next day when we were finally both off of work, we went to the Humane Society to meet her. I fell in love immediately. She was so eager to see us and she seemed so happy to have visitors. She was on a week-long hold just in case she had owners looking for her. I visited her daily and she was never claimed.

On October 18, 2010, Zoey officially became a member of our family and on October 19, we were able to take her home. She is such a delight and I can’t imagine my life without her now.
