Crazy Weather

Southern California, along with much of the west coast, is experiencing some pretty extreme weather right now. Throughout the region there has been massive amounts of rain, flooding, mudslides, tornado warnings, water spouts, coastal flooding warnings, and waves up to 25 feet. The storm yesterday (Tuesday, January 19) was worse than the one on Monday and the one that is coming on shore today is supposed to be even more powerful than the one yesterday.
Yesterday, I happened to be capturing some of the insane rain outside in out backyard when lightning struck and then the power went out. In the video you can see a pretty long light flash and then you hear Zac telling me that the power is out. Luckily we were only without power for a little more than 12 hours and besides some minor flooding in some nearby streets nothing much is happening in our area.
