My foot was feeling better this weekend, so I decided to brave the treadmill. I have a half marathon scheduled for this upcoming weekend in Arizona and I wanted to test out the foot. I hopped on the treadmill after a quick non-weight bearing lower body workout and slowly started. I set the mill for 6.2. It felt great for the first few strides. I made it around the track half way and I started to get excited. Then, I think I felt something. I’m not sure if I was being over cautious, paranoid, or if I really felt something, but my foot didn’t feel “normal.” It didn’t hurt either, but it didn’t feel quite right. So, being cautious and trying to be ready for Arizona, I got off of the treadmill sad and disappointed.
I’m still hopeful for a run/walk Arizona race this Sunday.
